THE STORY OF BAD BUSINESS - PART 3

A

After Pete Way era (an era we yet is waiting for to be written by the documentarist Gert Christensen) we are going forward to the year 2016.

Four out of five original members were good to go, but there was an open drummer seat to be taken. A little asking around was needed and the first guy approached (Søren Jensen) was quick to say “Well, I can give it a try” and he really suited well.

In the beginning of 2018 the band started working on the album "Last call for rock'n'roll", containing songs, meant to have been released in the past. This name came up as a statement for “It's never too late to chase your dreams or a good time”.

When the album was done in 2019 the guitarist (Jan Christensen) who had been a major driver for the songs in Bad Business, unfortunately had to pull the plug.

With an album ready to be released and shows waiting ahead, an audition was being set up. Here Bad Business picked out their new bandmember and guitarist (Tue Bendtsen).

– and so the fourth incarnation of the Bad Business line up was a reality.

Finally the line-up were ready to perfom all tracks from the new album, but after release party november the 14th 2019 the band managed to perform only a second time due to Coved 19.. Here all activities got paused, as the world was dealing with the epidemic.

Meanwhile the band wrote some new material and after 6 month with Covid 19, venues began cautiously to re-open and gigs could proceed. 

In beginning of 2021 the band went to studio with 6 new tracks (where "LA USA" and "summertime" were from old material) and recorded the EP "Shotgun woman".

Some gigs followed and everything looked bright, but due to challenges faced by a bandmember, the band set all activities on hold for a period of time, in the hope that it would buy us some time and allow us to proceed when time was right.

December 2025 the band released a christmas song in Danish, and wrote some new tracks in the waiting time.

June 2026 Søren announced his depature after 10 years which was a sad piece of news, but the band of course respected his choice, hoping for continued collaboration along the way as he will still be remembered as a dedicated and driven bandmember with a lots of skills.

August 2026 Jesper Haugaard went to auditon and got the job. He is playing for Witch Cross and had recently quit Whitesnake DK Tribute as they were braking up. This is good news for Bad Business as we hopefully will be out there soon with new songs for you.

This is now the fifth incarnation of the line-up.
